Welcome to SRM's official
Remotely Operated Vehicle Team
SRM’s Team Recon SubSea, competes in the annual MATE ASEAN- Indonesia Regional and International Competition. Over the years, our team has developed into a very diverse one, with members belonging to various streams of engineering.
We research and develop marine robots, and produce equipment that can be applied in real life scenarios.
Our Vision
The Marine Advanced Technology Education (MATE) Centre in partnership with the Marine Technology Society (MTS) ROV Committee conducts The International ROV Competition through various underwater tasks simulate realistic missions in the NASA’s Neutral Buoyancy Lab, Houston, Texas (USA). A team of highly motivated students across different departments under E&T in SRM University are working together in order to represent SRM University in this year’s prestigious competition. The competition provides an opportunity for students to develop skills in system engineering by accomplishing realistic missions with remotely operated vehicles in the maritime environment.
